#2 has always been my fav, and I'm surprised it didn't do better in this poll. Seeing it puts me into the right mood.
One might mention that the poll was started when there were only a few logos in the contest, so the newer ones might have had only a short time to receive votes, compared to others up for 1+ years.......The poll has been ongoin since there were just a few logos... |

Its a close call between numbers 5 and 7, but id go for the 7 one, since it is cleaner and simpler. Runes always connect to tolkien as well...

| I think number 8 just sums this site up perfectly. But suggest substituting Charles Williams for J K Rowling as he was a proper inkling and his All Hallows Eve et al should be mentioned on the site. As far as I know there are no audio files for them. |

I can think of the following posibilites:
- we put the wining logo on the top page
- we put a script rotating the logo on the top page from the variants submitted with the probablity of any logo to appear equal to it's number of votes
- we put the wining logo on the homepage and other logos on the other pages of the site |

| I voted #6, since it did not immediately hit me as being LOTR, considering he's not the only author on the site (though certainly the primary one). It seems to me that one ought to deemphasize the movie and various inspired representations of Tolkien's work and go pure Tolkien-designed (in that case, his own elven script). True, #5 did the same, but it didn't hit the same way; if you compare the "peripheral-vision" effects (not looking right at it), #6 is more "intelligible" - you know it's not some blot on the wall. |

| They are pretty good, hard to pick one. I like #1, but it has too much glow/glare around the words and could do without the bottom message. That is just for my taste, I am no expert so do not take my opinion to heart. I voted for #6. |
